WWE has reduced the number of house shows it puts on recently, but there are reportedly plans in place to shake things up and increase attendance. While it's good that WWE Superstars are now able to work less dates (it increases the longevity of their career, for starters), these numbers may put things into perspective for you.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the "Iron Man" award for 2019 goes to RAW Superstar Ricochet.
He worked a total of 159 matches on TV and at Live events last year, and King Corbin is only slightly behind him with 156 matches. In previous years, it wasn't unheard of for wrestlers in WWE to exceed 200 matches, and in 2018, Finn Balor worked 180 of them (while Shinsuke Nakamura and Corbin were just behind with 175).
At the upcoming Super ShowDown event, Ricochet will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. Here's hoping all that hard work pays off!
