Last night on AEW Dynamite, it was announced that an 8-man tournament would be held over the next few weeks to determine the next challenger for Jon Moxley's AEW Championship, with the finals set to take place at the upcoming Full Gear PPV.

Only the first three competitors were named: Jungle Boy, Lucha Bros.' Rey Fenix, and Kenny Omega.

Excalibur broke the news of Omega's involvement when Adam Page was doing commentary, and The Hangman immediately ran backstage. This has led to speculation that Page will also wind up in the tournament and ultimately face off against his former tag team partner in the final.

That's certainly a strong possibility, but we'll have to see who the other seven participants are before placing any bets. If we had to guess right now, Mox vs. full-on heel Omega for the title seems likely.

Expect more names to be revealed before next Wednesday's special 30 Years of Jericho episode of Dynamite.
