AEW DYNAMITE Ended With A Shocking Turn After Kenny Omega Was STABBED In The Head By [SPOILER]

In the closing moments of last night's AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley defeated Kenny Omega in a Steel Cage match...after Don Callis turned on his longtime friend and client!

After initially saving Omega from being mauled by a screwdriver-wielding Mox, Callis cost Omega the win when he stabbed him in the head with a screwdriver. As you might expect, that cost Omega the match, much to the delight of Bryan Danielson on commentary.

This moment seemed to echo when Callis helped Omega defeat Moxley for the AEW World Championship at the end of 2020, and we're assuming the manager will now align himself with the Blackpool Combat Club.

It's also possible this is building to Callis wrapping up his stint with the company.

Last night's episode of AEW Dynamite was heavy on surprising, including the returns of Miro and Thunder Rosa and the promise of another "huge announcement" from AEW President Tony Khan next week. There was even a mention of CM Punk!

It's an exciting time for AEW between the upcoming launch of Colission and the fact they'll likely sell out Wembley Stadium later this year and, last night, we even got some news about future plans for Punk.
