Tonight's special AEW Dynamite: Fright Night (October 28, 2026) emanates from Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri and will air starting at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max.
It's Wednesday, and you know what that means - results, match winners, promo segment notes and other major developments from All Elite Wrestling will be added below as Dynamite airs. This week's Halloween-themed Fright Night special also includes a taping for Saturday's edition of AEW Collision.
Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight's episode, TNT Champion Darby Allin defends his championship against Don Callis Family member Josh Alexander. After picking up consecutive victories on Collision, Alexander challenged Allin in hopes of bringing another championship into the Don Callis Family.
TBS Champion Persephone puts her title on the line against Queen Aminata, who earned her championship opportunity by defeating Maya World.
FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler also battle the Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, in the third match of their Best of Five Series. The teams are tied at one victory apiece after the Motor City Machine Guns won at WrestleDream and FTR evened the series on the October 24 episode of Collision.
Fright Night is also the final episode of Dynamite before the November 4 Blood & Guts special, where major faction rivalries involving the Death Riders, Don Callis Family and AEW's women's division are expected to continue. No additional individual matches or segments have been confirmed for this broadcast.
Regarding my predictions for all of that, I don't think Darby Allin is dropping his title (but I AM surprise that this isn't more Halloween themed; it should definitely be a coffin match), but I do think Persephone does stand a solid chance to drop the TBS title to Queen Aminata. Sooner or later, Persephone will lose, and Aminata is someone who is hovering that midcard title spot over and over, so sooner or later, she's going to win it. The math sometimes works out like that, but it's certainly not a guarantee. Since MCMG and FTR are tied, match 3 doesn't matter. Match 4 is what matters more, so flip a coin, but I'll say MCMG win.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite - October 28, 2026:
- The Cut (Jay White & David Finlay) defeated The Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Daniel Garcia) by pinfall over Daniel Garcia. Ace Austin attempted to interfere, but Wheeler Yuta took him out. With the referee distracted, Clark Connors speared Garcia, allowing White to hit the Blade Runner for the victory. The rest of both factions got into a brawl after the match, with Claudio Castagnoli helping the Death Riders fight off The Cut. Moxley then challenged The Cut to an Anarchy in the Arena match at Full Gear on November 14.
- Footage from Collision showed Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron discussing the women's Blood & Guts match, with The Brawling Birds joining their team against Divine Dominion and Triangle of Madness.
- Kyle Fletcher defeated Jack Perry by pinfall following a brainbuster from the ropes. After the match, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle lifted Fletcher onto their shoulders as he challenged AEW World Champion Will Ospreay to put his title on the line at Full Gear. The championship match was subsequently made official.
- A video package narrated by Dean Malenko promoted the upcoming men's and women's Blood & Guts matches.
- Renee Paquette interviewed The New Level in the ring about their upcoming AEW World Trios Championship match at Full Gear. Kofi and Austin Creed expressed reservations about Swerve Strickland wanting a Texas Death Match. Brody King came out looking for Bandido, followed by Hangman Adam Page, who warned them about the consequences of facing Strickland in that stipulation. Prince Nana then appeared and played footage of Strickland standing over a bloodied Bandido, demanding that his opponents agree to the Texas Death Match. Page stopped King from going after The New Level, and the two left to find Bandido.
- Don Callis and the Don Callis Family discussed Blood & Guts backstage. Callis talked about Kyle Fletcher challenging Will Ospreay at Full Gear and Mark Davis and Jake Doyle pursuing the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Josh Alexander promised to defeat Darby Allin for the TNT Championship, while Kazuchika Okada mocked Adam Copeland's recent injury.
- Best of Five Series, Match 3: The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) by pinfall over Dax Harwood. Shelley reversed a pinning attempt from Harwood to score the victory, giving the Motor City Machine Guns a 2-1 lead in the series. After the match, both teams shook hands, but Stokely Hathaway threw powder into the eyes of Shelley and Sabin, allowing FTR to attack them and target Shelley's knee.
- Lexy Nair interviewed Queen Aminata, Persephone and Britt Baker backstage ahead of the TBS Championship main event. Baker and Persephone mocked Aminata's chances of winning, while Aminata promised to knock Persephone's head off and become champion.
- Tommaso Ciampa came to the ring to demand another shot at Andrade El Idolo and the AEW National Championship. He accused Andrade of cheating at WrestleDream and said he intended to prove himself as AEW's greatest signing. Ilja Dragunov interrupted and challenged Ciampa to fight him immediately, but Ciampa declined.
- The Conglomeration spoke to Renee Paquette backstage about their problems with The Cut. Roderick Strong challenged three members of the faction to face them on Collision, with The Gunns and Juice Robinson subsequently confirmed as their opponents.
- Marina Shafir defeated Rachel Armstrong by submission with Mother's Milk. After the match, Shafir called out Mercedes Mone, who came to the ring and slapped her several times. Shafir shrugged off the strikes and nearly kicked Mone before the confrontation was interrupted by The Cut attacking Jon Moxley at the commentary desk. The Death Riders and The Cut continued fighting, with Claudio Castagnoli eventually coming to their aid. The Cut overwhelmed Castagnoli, however, with David Finlay striking him with a shillelagh before Jay White hit the Blade Runner onto the exposed concrete floor.
- Footage showed Claudio Castagnoli being taken out of the arena on a stretcher following The Cut's attack.
- Singles Match for the AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) defeated Josh Alexander by pinfall to retain the title. Alexander targeted Allin's ankle throughout the match and even put him through chairs with a Tombstone Piledriver. Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero attempted to interfere, but Steven Borden appeared wearing a clown mask and fought them off. Allin eventually countered Alexander's Ankle Lock into a pinning combination to retain his championship.
- Steven Borden and Darby Allin discussed the upcoming Blood & Guts match backstage. Borden addressed Don Callis questioning his involvement and said he knew what he was getting into by joining Allin, Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland and The Young Bucks. Allin said he was done talking and wanted Blood & Guts.
- Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: Queen Aminata defeated Persephone (c) by pinfall to win the title.
