Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite (October 21, 2026) emanates from Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida and will air starting at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max.
It's Wednesday, and you know what that means - results, match winners, promo segment notes and other major developments from All Elite Wrestling will be added below as Dynamite airs.
Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight's post-WrestleDream episode, Ilja Dragunov makes his AEW in-ring debut against "Speedball" Mike Bailey. AEW World Champion Will Ospreay teams with Adam Copeland against Don Callis Family members Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight following their respective matches at WrestleDream.
Former TBS Champion Maya World returns to action against Queen Aminata in a No. 1 Contender's Match for the TBS Championship, while AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks face Mark Davis and Jake Doyle in a Championship Eliminator Match.
When it comes to the predictions side of things, Ilja Dragunov is obviously not going to lose his first match. What a downer that would be! That is especially true when he's up against Speedball, as Mike Bailey is exactly the type of person who will give him a great debut match, but come up short. Speedball is firmly a great in-ring talent and a good midcarder who gets a spotlight here and there, but is far from protected.
I'd anticipate there will be issues between both Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland as well as Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. Which team will be able to coexist better? I'm guessing Ospreay and Copeland, but it is far from any kind of guarantee like the Dragunov victory.
Queen Aminata was positioned rather well as a potential "still going for Persephone" opponent, so I think she'll beat Maya World to get a one-on-one title shot for the TBS Championship.
The eliminator match is a coin flip. Basically, if Tony Khan wants to have Davis and Doyle have a second match against The Young Bucks and do a twofer, they win and get the opportunity for Fright Night, I'd assume. Since we don't know if Khan is just doing this as a one-off, it's anyone's guess, but I'd say Davis and Doyle have at least a 30% shot at winning, if not more.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite - October 21, 2026:
- AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match: Davis and Doyle (Mark Davis & Jake Doyle) defeated The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (c) by pinfall. Davis and Doyle dominated the champions, with Doyle putting Nick through the timekeeper's table and Davis repeatedly hitting piledrivers on Matt. Davis pinned Matt while Doyle kept Nick from breaking up the fall, earning themselves a future championship opportunity.
- The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher & Kevin Knight) defeated Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland by pinfall over Copeland. Kazuchika Okada interfered by holding up his AEW International Championship belt for Copeland to run into, allowing Fletcher to finish him off with a brainbuster. After the match, the Don Callis Family attacked Ospreay and Copeland, with Wardlow joining the assault. Darby Allin and the returning Steven Borden came out to make the save, along with Nick Jackson. Borden announced that he was back for Blood and Guts.
- Swerve Strickland defeated Tome Filip by pinfall. Strickland attacked Filip with a House Call before the bell and quickly finished him off with a Vertebreaker.
- Jay White and Orange Cassidy defeated The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) by pinfall over Yuta. White finished Yuta with the Blade Runner.
- Renee Paquette interviewed AEW World Trios Champions The Good, the Bad, and el Guapo (Hangman Adam Page, Bandido and Brody King) backstage before Swerve Strickland interrupted to demand a rematch for himself and The New Level. Page was willing to grant them another title opportunity at Full Gear, but Strickland insisted on making it a Texas Death Match. Page refused to put his teammates through that stipulation, leaving the challenge unresolved.
- Nick Wayne arrived at the arena wearing a shirt celebrating his victory over Chris Jericho at WrestleDream.
- Mercedes Moné spoke about her victories over Willow Nightingale and Thekla, boasting about her dominance of the women's division and wondering who would challenge her next. Marina Shafir interrupted with Jon Moxley following behind her. Shafir told Moné not to be a "pussy", prompting Moné to angrily insist she wasn't one before leaving the ring.
- AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley (c) defeated Roderick Strong by submission. Moxley forced Strong to tap out to a sleeper hold. After the match, David Finlay and Clark Connors attacked Strong. Moxley returned to stop them, only for The Dogs to turn their attention to him. Gabe Kidd tried to intervene but was attacked as well. The Conglomeration and Bang Bang Gang came out, but Jay White turned on Orange Cassidy with a Blade Runner as the Bang Bang Gang joined The Dogs in attacking the Death Riders. Finlay struck Claudio Castagnoli with his shillelagh before White laid out Moxley with another Blade Runner.
- A vignette aired promoting Ilja Dragunov's AEW in-ring debut and discussing his decision to join the company.
- Backstage, Divine Dominion attacked WrathLander and The Brawling Birds. The Sisters of Sin and Thekla arrived during the confrontation, with Thekla ordering her allies to back off.
- Nick Wayne came to the ring to celebrate beating Chris Jericho twice, complete with repeated pyro displays, and demanded that Jericho apologize to him. Jericho eventually came out, but Wayne kept interrupting him until Jericho snapped and told him to shut the hell up. Jericho eventually apologized for underestimating Wayne and admitted he was better than he initially gave him credit for. He also told Wayne that he could become one of the all-time greats if he continued learning from those who came before him.
- TBS Championship No. 1 Contender Match: Queen Aminata defeated Maya World by pinfall. Dr. Britt Baker and TBS Champion Persephone watched from commentary. Aminata confronted Persephone at ringside during the match before returning to the ring and finishing World with Off With Her Head to earn another shot at the TBS Championship.
- Don Callis celebrated his family's victories over The Young Bucks, Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland in a backstage promo. He promised that the Don Callis Family would spill blood at Blood and Guts before turning their attention to collecting championships and making money. Kazuchika Okada reminded Callis that family was more important than money, and Callis agreed before saying he wanted to watch Ilja Dragunov's debut. Davis and Doyle were also confirmed to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Full Gear.
- Backstage, Samoa Joe said that getting the first pinfall in Clockwork Carnage made him realize he needed to pursue the AEW World Championship again. Jack Perry interrupted to remind Joe that he was still waiting for a handshake. Joe told Perry they would settle things soon before leaving with Katsuyori Shibata. Action Andretti then stepped up to confront Perry.
- Ilja Dragunov defeated "Speedball" Mike Bailey by pinfall. Bailey injured his leg during the match after kicking the steel steps, which Dragunov continued to target. Following a back-and-forth exchange that included a superplex and several near falls, Dragunov hit a release powerbomb and two D-Bombs to score the victory in his AEW in-ring debut.
