AEW Shares Gory Photos Of Cody Rhodes' Back After He Went Through Flaming Table On DYNAMITE

Yes, you read that right! In the main event of last night's AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes ended up going through a table that was on fire, and backstage photos reveal the extent of his gnarly injuries...

Last night's episode of AEW Dynamite was headlined by an Atlanta Street Fight with Cody Rhodes taking on Andrade El Idolo. Near the end of the match, Brandi Rhodes made her return to television and poured lighter fluid all over a table before setting it on fire.

Cody then proceeded to hit an inverted suplex on his opponent, but took most of the brunt of the fall into the flames. Both men were actually on fire after hitting the mat, though it's clearly Rhodes who was worse for wear based on the photos shared by AEW today.

As you can see, Rhodes did burn himself, but thankfully not too badly. The announcers actually made the mistake of wondering what was on his back during the match (suggesting it could be from when Andrade threw the contents of a trash can at him), but it was some sort of flame retardent gel clearly meant to lessen the effects that an open flame would have on the divisive pro wrestler.

Take a closer look at what happened - and the aftermath - below:
