AEW Star Bryan Danielson Reveals His Recent Arm Injury Is Quite A Bit Worse Than Originally Expected

Bryan Danielson was injured during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV, and the American Dragon has now confirmed that what he thought was a fractured forearm is quite a bit worse than we originally heard...

AEW allows its wrestlers to really push the boundaries of what's safe to do in the ring, hence why injuries...well, they're relatively common in the company.

Accidents do happen, though, and at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last month, Bryan Danielson suffered what was believed to be a fractured forearm. The hope was that he would be back in time for London's All In PPV in Wembley Stadium, though that started looking increasingly unlikely.

The first update came from Danielson's wife and former WWE Superstar Brie Bella when she suggested the injury might be worst than first thought.

Now, the American Dragon has confirmed he had to undergo surgery a couple of weeks ago, with a steel rod and nine screws inserted into his arm in the process. It sounds like it went well, but there's no longer any sort of definitive timeline for his return date.

"I got surgery on my arm about two weeks ago, where they put in a steel rod and 9 screws," the AEW star says. "Surgery went well and I’m on the road to recovery. Thank you all for the support."

It's a shame that Danielson will miss out on that UK show as he'd have been a big draw. The company hasn't had any problem selling tickets based on what we've heard thus far, of course, and we're sure it will be another lengthy show with a stacked card.

Needless to say, we wish Danielson a speedy recovery as the sooner he can get back into the ring, the better!
