ALL ELITE WRESTLING DYNAMITE Beats WWE NXT In Wednesday Night War Ratings Yet Again

Practically every week, it's the same story for the Wednesday Night Wars. The ratings come out Thursday afternoon and the numbers stay roughly the same as what they were last week, with All Elite Wrestling coming out on top.

To no surprise, that's exactly what happened again this time for the October 7, 2020 episodes.

According to Showbuzz Daily's report of Wednesday Cable Originals, AEW had the better night as All Elite Wrestling Dynamite was ranked #19 with a 0.31 rating (roughly 753 thousand viewers) while WWE was further down the list, per usual. NXT ranked #56 overall and scored only a 0.16 rating with roughly 639 thousand viewers.

For both products to have this ~700 thousand viewer range each and every week, and only ever seeing some slight adjustments, it has made the Wednesday Night Wars a much less interesting topic to track. The fluctuations are so minimal and seem to be entirely based on whether something absolutely huge is promoted. Unless either show has something amazing to draw in viewers, no one but the core 700k tune in.

With neither show breaking 1 million on a regular basis, it goes to show maybe one of them should consider moving to another night. At least that way, they aren't cannibalizing each other's views and could up their own. Perhaps both shows would break 1 million if the fan base didn't have to pick which show to watch live.
