ALL ELITE WRESTLING: DYNAMITE Crushed NXT In Both Ratings And Demographics This Wednesday

The live viewership numbers are in for both All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite and NXT from this past Wednesday, and there's quite a change to previous weeks. While NXT has started gaining a lead lately (leading to Tony Khan weighing on Twitter by pointing out how much more important demographics are than ratings), Dynamite is back at #1.

This week, NXT was up across the board with 788,000 viewers compared to NXT's 631,000.

Did Fight for the Fallen contribute to the change? It's certainly highly likely, though many believe that the NASCAR race on Fox Sports 1 could have led to a number of WWE viewers (who are often older and from lower income households according to the demographics) tuning into that instead of NXT.

As has been the case most weeks, AEW easily won the 18 - 49 demographic, and was #5 among the top 150 shows on cable, whereas NXT was #49. It will now be interesting seeing what happens in the coming weeks as neither company has any specials planned, and it will be pretty much business as usual next week.

Will WWE regain its lead or will AEW go back to dominating the competition each week? We'll keep you updated.
