Earlier today, we reported on a rumor that CM Punk may be interested in returning to AEW, but if that is the case, he's not exactly going the right way about it!
The former All Elite Wrestling Heavyweight Champion shared the following to his Insta stories, and his comments are bound to cause a stir in the AEW locker room.
Punk claims that Jon Moxley came up with the "Rocky III idea" (Mox beating Punk easily before the latter comes back stronger than ever, presumably), but Punk wasn't sold on it. Tony Khan was in favor, so he agreed - but he also mentions that Mox said he "wouldn't lose to me."
Punk goes on to call Dave Meltzer a "liar," and Chris Jericho a "Liar and a stooge." Perhaps most shocking of all, however, is Punk's admission that he's never seen a Rocky movie.
Punk has never been shy about expressing himself, which has proven to be a blessing and a curse over the course of his career. It'll be interesting to see if Jericho responds, anyway!
