Darby Allin Lashes Out At Cody After Losing To Sammy Guevara & Shawn Spears On AEW DYNAMITE

Did we witness a Darby Allin heel turn on AEW Dynamite? Probably not, but the Relentless One did take his frustrations out on his tag-team partner Cody after losing a match to Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears.

Darby Allin and Cody teamed up to take on their respective TNT Tournament opponents Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears in the main event of AEW Dynamite, and things broke down in the big way after the match.

After a solid back-and-forth tag-team encounter, Spears grabbed a chair and went to hit Cody before Allin intercepted and grabbed the weapon from Shawn to toss it out of the ring. However, as soon as his back was turned, Spears seized the opportunity to roll Darby up for the pinfall victory.

Hardly The American Nightmare's fault, but Allin still took his frustration out on his partner by punching him in the mush.

There's been speculation that this might be a heel turn, but we don't see it that way. It's most likely just to add some heat to their inevitable semifinal match in the upcoming tournament. That's currently set to kick-off next Wednesday, but obviously subject to change in the current climate.
