WWE may still be well ahead in the ratings compared to AEW Dynamite, but as that show's ratings slowly continue to rise - and those for RAW, in particular, slowly decline - it's possible they could go head to head at some point in the next few years. Something that could definitely help turn the tide in AEW's favour, however, is this news.

According to Bodyslam.net, former WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling. The site claims that the Leader of the Yes Movement is "locked-in" and has 100% signed a contract with them.

It's said that Bryan was looking to work fewer dates for comparable money to what he earned in WWE, with the biggest draw being that he can now wrestle in Japan and have creative input into his character. When the former WWE Champion left his previous company, we learned that he was hoping to secure a deal with them that meant he could wrestle for WWE and NJPW.

It was always unlikely Vince McMahon would go for that, and it sounds like Bryan's debut could be imminent. If this information is bogus, the site is going to look ridiculous, but they seem confident in their sources. We know AEW has some big surprises planned, and Bryan would fit that description.

If he's joined by CM Punk in AEW...well, that really would break the internet.
