Matt Cardona (known as Zack Ryder in WWE) was a guest on Tuesday's episode of Busted Open Radio, and he weighed in on joining All Elite Wrestling. While it's unclear how long he will actually be part of the company, there's a lot of excitement surrounding whether he can successfully reinvent himself as part of Dynamite

During tonight's episode, he will team up with Cody Rhodes to take on Dark Order members Alex Reynolds and John Silver, and you have to believe he'll be keen to prove to fans that WWE made a huge mistake never pushing him.

Asked about last week's debut on Dynamite, Cardona responded: "For me, I was nervous.  I was walking in there like the new kid in school.  All these people, whether I saw them wrestle or I saw them on social media, I knew everybody but I didn’t really know them.  It was weird introducing myself to these people who I know.  Some people I watched wrestle for years.  Everyone was very welcoming and very inviting.  They made me feel like I was there the whole time."

He was also asked for his thoughts on AEW's referees, and it was then he made some very interesting comments about how things work in WWE. "I haven’t really noticed it.  I think in WWE, their officials have rules that the fans don’t even know about.  So, what’s the point of having all these rules if the fans don’t even know what’s going on?  I’m fine with the officiating going on in AEW.  I think the referees need to have authority and I think they do there."

If Cardona can reinvent himself, it will obviously be a huge deal for him after he spent years being treated like a jobber by WWE. If he doesn't impress in the ring, then he will obviously just "prove" that maybe the company weren't wrong for never moving him up the card.

What do you guys think will happen?
