Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite takes place in the hometown of the late Brodie Lee and is set to be dedicated to the beloved pro wrestler. In recent weeks, there's been a lot of speculation that former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) could debut on the show as the new leader of the Dark Order, though nothing has been confirmed.
There have been consistent rumblings Wyatt will either head to AEW or IMPACT, and while his debut would make for a nice tribute to Lee, others could argue it's a tad exploitative. His 90-day non-compete remains an issue as well, and no one has ever really explained how Wyatt would get around that for this show.
Well, according to Dave Meltzer, his rumoured AEW arrival won't be tonight.
"Unless something changed in the last 24 hours, which the impression I was given was unlikely, no Windham Rotunda this week," he noted on the Wrestling Observer forum.
AEW heavily teased the debuts of CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, and you have to believe they'd have done the same for Wyatt. Where he's headed remains a mystery, but it will certainly be worth keeping an eye on tonight's show just in case there are any big surprises planned.
