Bad news for Juice Robinson fans.

The AEW star had a great match against Will Ospreay on the November 30th episode of Collision, but unfortunately for Robinson, he suffered an injury during that match. It’s unknown when the injury occurred during the match, but Collision is a taped show so it’s possible that AEW could’ve edited out the awkward moments tying to the injury.

According to Fightful Select, Robinson was praying that the injury was a bad sprain. Sadly, it was far worse than that as it turned out to be a broken fibula. As of this writing, there’s no timeline on how long Robinson will be out of the action.

The former IWGP United States Champion just made his return at Double or Nothing after a long layoff due to injury. The 35-year-old has had a fun act with the Bang Bang Gang, but being a part of the Continental Classic could’ve showcased another side of the AEW star.

Juice Robinson is a great wrestler who would have benefitted from a strong showing in the Continental Classic. It’s unlikely that Robinson was winning the tournament, but it could’ve helped him branch out into a singles competitor going forward. Hopefully, this injury doesn’t have the long layoff like the first one did as it felt that Robinson was hitting his stride in AEW.

Nevertheless, Tony Khan has already confirmed Robinson’s replacement in the Continental Classic: Komander. This will be the first time that the AEW star competes in the annual tournament. Komander is scheduled to have his first Continental tournament match against Ricochet on the December 6th episode of Rampage.

Below is the current standing for both the Blue and Gold League of the 2024 Continental Classic Tournament. Though it sucks that Robinson was forced out of the tournament, this is a big opportunity for Kommander and hopefully he's given plenty of chances to shine.

Blue League:

Shelton Benjamin 3

Kyle Fletcher 3

Daniel Garcia 1

Kazuchika Okada

Mark Briscoe 0

The Beast Mortos 0

Gold League:

Claudio Castagnoli 3

Brody King 3

Will Ospreay 3

Darby Allin 0

Komander 0

Ricochet 0
