MJF did not take too kindly to being compared to controversial former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio.

The always-prickly All Elite Wrestling Champion responded to a Tweet which suggested he and Del Rio had a similar dress sense (I mean, they both wear scarves?), and Max unleashed quite a tirade in response.

"Except I’m not a racist. An abuser. A bad promo. A poser. A b*tch. And a drug addict. And an over rated wrestler," he Tweeted.

While we're not sure where the racist label originates from, and the "bad promo, overrated wrestler" stuff is obviously up for debate, Del Rio - real name José Alberto Rodríguez Chucuan - does have a history of drug issues and has been accused of some pretty heinous crimes against women, including current AEW talent Saraya (then Paige).

Back in 2020, Alberto was accused of aggravated kidnapping/sexual assault, but the charges were dropped when the witness went missing. Del Rio is currently a free man and is actually working for several wrestling promotions such as AAA.

MJF will defend his AEW title against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Iron Man Match at the Revolution PPV this weekend.
