There's a huge amount of excitement surrounding recent reports that CM Punk has signed a deal with AEW, especially as that will mark his first time inside a wrestling ring since 2014's WWE Royal Rumble.
It was always unlikely that he'd consider returning to WWE, and the current belief is that Punk will make his AEW debut at All Out in Chicago next month. In the meantime, fans remain desperate for some sort of "confirmation" this is really happening, hence why this news has generated so much attention on social media.
Living Colour, the band responsible for Punk's iconic "Cult of Personality" entrance theme, has started following AEW on Twitter and Instagram.
Tony Khan certainly hasn't shied away from paying money to secure the rights to popular music for the wrestlers who make up the AEW roster, and it honestly wouldn't make sense for Punk to walk out to anything else.
In the past, the former WWE Superstar has been quick to debunk reports like these, so it really does seem like he's on the way to AEW (there have even been claims he's already signed a deal with the company). At 42, Punk has plenty of gas left in the tank, and could be a game-changer for this company given what a massive fan base he still has among wrestling fans.
As always, we'll be sure to keep you guys updated as and when more is revealed!
