Are you ready for the ladder of terror?
At Wrestle Kingdom 19, Intergalactic Jet Setters (KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight), Ichiban Sweet Boys (Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita), Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney), and Catch 2/2 (TJP & Francesco Akira) were scheduled to be in a chaotic four-way match for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
But New Japan officials decided to up the ante after a massive melee between the four teams during a recent preview tag team match that saw everyone pull out chairs, ladders, and tables. Now, for the first time ever inside of the Tokyo Dome, officials have confirmed that the four way match will be a Tokyo Terror Ladder match.
What exactly is a Tokyo Terror Ladder match?
Let’s just say it’s a traditional TLC/Ladder match that you’re seen in WWE, AEW, TNA, and plenty of other wrestling promotions. It just has a cooler name. Nevertheless, it should be an exciting match given all of the names involved. The added stipulation makes the loaded card even better as Wrestle Kingdom 19 is shaping up to be a great pay-per-view on paper. The annual event that’s scheduled for January 4, 2025 will be headlined with Zack Sabre Jr defending his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shota Umino.
