Former Lucha Underground star Thunder Rosa - who was Kobra Moon in LU - will be making her transition to mixed martial arts soon, as Combate Americas has signed Melissa Cervantes (her real name) to a multi-fight contract deal.

Cervantes is actually a longtime Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN, the former Lucha Underground star could be making her debut on November 8 in San Antonio, Texas. At the moment, there’s no word on who her potential opponent could be.

Her status with Women of Wrestling (WOW) is up in the air right now, as she’s currently portraying the Kobra Moon persona (as Serpentine) in the promotion. It’s possible that she’ll be going back-and-forth between wrestling and mma; however, that’s not confirmed at the moment.
