The 100th Episode of ROH could see a new champion.
Several weeks ago, QT Marshall pulled off an upset victory over Komander in a Proving Ground match. Actually, Marshall managed to make the time limit that granted him access to a future title match against the ROH World Television Champion. The 39-year-old may have never won a title in Ring of Honor, but that doesn’t mean that the veteran isn’t capable of winning gold. Marshall has won eleven world titles outside of ROH/AEW, including the CCW Heavyweight Championship. Marshall has been gaining steam since making the jump over to the promotion, but Komander's rise throughout the ranks has been fun to watch.
Since winning the ROH World Television title at Final Battle, Komander has beaten former ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli and former Impact World Champion Johnny TV. His fast-paced and aerial moveset has dazzled audiences in a short period of time, but could tonight mark the end of Komander’s title reign?
In a huge first time match-up, former ROH Pure Champion Katsuyori Shibata will go one-on-one against Shane Taylor. The former ROH World Television Champion is determined to make 2025 a year that Shane Taylor promotions dominate ROH. Taylor has been off to a good start so far as he’s yet to lose a match in Ring of Honor in 2025, but his biggest test is facing a New Japan legend.
Shibata has been busy going across ROH, AEW, and New Japan to mixed results. He’s fresh off his loss to Daniel Garcia for the TNT Championship. However, he’s won the last seven matches of his ROH career. This should be one hell of a match against ROH’s two top talents, but the question is: who will stand tall once the bell rings?
