Former NEVER Openweight Champion Will Ospreay Speaks On His Future With NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING

The former NEVER Openweight champion has been with New Japan since early 2016, but with his recent title loss to Jeff Cobb, does this mean that Will Ospreay will be ending his tenure with the promotion soon?

The former NEVER Openweight champion recently announced that he was leaving PROGRESS Wrestling, a promotion that he’s been with since 2012. Ospreay captured the PROGRESS Championship and the PROGRESS Tag Team Championship once during his time with the company.

It hasn’t been officially confirmed that Ospreay will be re-signing a new deal, but the well-known high flyer made it clear that he isn’t going anywhere else anytime soon by stating, "3 years ago I signed my first deal with @njpw1972. Plenty more years for this wonderful company I now call home."

When asked if he would be going to "another team," Ospreay said he would be staying with NJPW.

Ospreay’s girlfriend, Bea Priestley, is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, so plans can always change; however, at the moment, it appears we’ll be enjoying more of the former NEVER Openweight champion’s matches in New Japan for years to come.
