Colt Cabana is reportedly done with Ring of Honor.
The former NWA National Champion worked The Final Battle pay-per-view on Friday night, taking on Alex Shelley in his final match-up. The 17-year veteran would win the contest; however, Shelley did show respect to Cabana following their brief encounter.
According to a report by John Pollock of
POST Wrestling, it was known that Cabana would be leaving since September. The 39-year-old has been working with New Japan Pro Wrestling as of late, teaming with Toru Yano to compete in the 2019 World Tag League tournament.
This was Cabana's third stint with the company, which started back in 2016 when he confronted the ROH World Champion, Jay Lethal. Since then, Cabana has had various roles within the promotion such as a color commentator. He didn’t have much of a presence within ROH in 2019 as Cabana was mostly fighting under the NWA banner as well.
At the moment, Cabana is working with NWA, though his status with New Japan is up in the air. He’s currently not scheduled for Wrestle Kingdom 14, though that can change in the upcoming weeks.
