Former Pure Champion John Walters will make his return to ROH at Past vs. Present.

Walters – who was trained by Killer Kowalski – is another pioneer during the early days of the promotion; Walters had memorable bouts against talents such as CM Punk, Jay Lethal, Nigel McGuinness, and Douglas Williams. The 41-year-old was the man to beat Williams for the Pure Championship in 2004.

Since his stint with Ring of Honor, Walters has mostly worked on the independent scene for various promotions such as Lucha Libre USA, Chaotic Wrestling, and Jersey All-Pro Wrestling. The Massachusetts native is known as one of the best in-ring technicians in ROH’s history.

However, the former Pure Champion will face a man who is sound in all forms of wrestling, as he’ll take on Mark Haskins on March 14. The former PROGRESS World Champion looks to continue solidifying himself as one of the best wrestlers in the world by getting a victory over one of the best men to step inside an ROH ring.
