Former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle is now a free agent!

Lately, Ring of Honor has been announcing a slew of talents resigning contracts such as Bandido, Mark Haskins, Tracy Williams, and Sumie Sakai; however, Wrestling Inc. has reported that the former ROH World Champion is no longer under contract with the company.

There’s no word yet on whether Castle will continue to work for ROH on a per-appearance deal (like EC3); however, the article states that the company has offered the 34-year-old a good deal. On the other hand, Castle wants to see what’s out there in the wrestling world, thus the likelihood of the former ROH star signing with either WWE, AEW, Impact Wrestling, or any other promotion is a possibility.

At the moment, there’s no word on whether there’s interest in Castle from any of the respective companies above. The former world champion has been with ROH since 2013 and was a hot commodity thanks to his flamboyant gimmick involving Boys 1 and 2.

While Castle has cooled down a bit since changing his gimmick several years ago, there’s no doubt that Castle is a talented wrestler and it will be shocking if places such as WWE or AEW don’t make a play for the former ROH World Champion.
