Kenny Omega will be making his return to AAA Lucha Libre very soon.
The AAA Mega Champion will be defending his belt against Laredo Kid at TripleMania 28. This will be the first time that Omega defends the title since March against Sammy Guevara on Dynamite.
Of course, the coronavirus has had a major effect on AAA Lucha Libre as their TripleMania show usually takes place in August. According to the AAA CEO Dorian Roldan, the pay-per-view is expected to run in December, though officials are still monitoring the health situation in Mexico.
The company is coming off their Auto Luchas event earlier this month that saw Laredo Kid successfully defend the AAA World Cruiserweight Title against Octagon Jr. and a Three-way bout between Chessman, Psycho Clown, and Pagano.
Also announced for TripleMania is Chessman vs. Pagano in a hair vs. hair match and Aracno & Leyenda Americana vs Terror Purpura & Venenoide in a Marvel tie-in match. We’ll keep tabs on the upcoming pay-per-view when the company makes it official.
