Last week, Kris Statlander made her debut on Dynamite by teaming with Hikaru Shida to take on Emi Sakura and Bea Priestley. Statlander didn’t walk out victorious, as the AEW talent was pinned by Priestly, thanks to an assist from Sakura’s mic stand.

On Wednesday, the newcomer will get a chance to bounce back, as Statlander is comfirmed to take on the current #1 contender for Riho’s AEW Women’s Championship, Hikaru Shida. Can Statlander pull off a major upset and knock down Shida from the number one spot? We’ll find out on this week’s Dynamite!

Thus far, this week’s episode already has five matches set at the State Farm Arena in Champaign, Illinois, with a six-man tag team match involving Dustin Rhodes & The Young Bucks vs. Proud N’ Powerful & Sammy Guevara as the main event.
