Leyla Hirsch is the latest name to take part in Bloodsport XIII.
This year’s show is scheduled for Las Vegas the week of WrestleMania. Thus far, Tom Lawlor, Miyu Yamashita, Tim Thatcher, Simon Gotch, David Modzmanashvili, and Natalya Heidhart have been confirmed for the upcoming show. The former AEW star was just added to the list.
Hirsch previously competed for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport back in 2020, where she fought in the Bloodsport Women’s Tournament and lost her first round match to Lindsay Snow. An opponent has yet to be announced for Hirsch.
This is Hirsch’s first match since it was confirmed that she didn’t re-sign with the promotion last month. There’s still no word on whether the 28-year-old opted to leave or if AEW decided to not renew her contract, but either way, Hirsch is a talented name that adds quality to Bloodsport.
But Hirsch wasn’t the only name announced since Natalya. Royce Isaacs was also confirmed.
Isaacs is currently ½ of the NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champion with Jorel Nelson of the World Class Wrecking Crew. In addition to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Isaacs has worked in AEW, DEFY Wrestling, NWA, and Ring of Honor. This is Isaac’s fourth Bloodsport; his record is 2 - 2 when it comes to these events. His last match saw him lose via KO to Josh Barnett himself in December 2024.
For those who don’t follow the unique format, Bloodsport started in 2018 under Matt Riddle’s name. Once Riddle signed to WWE, the event was turned over to former UFC fighter Josh Barnett. The rules are quite simple: every match will end either by knockout or submission. Instead of the traditional pro wrestling ring, the canvas has no ropes or turnbuckles.
