The former MLW World Heavyweight Champion will enter the 2019 Opera Cup.

Low Ki is officially joining the tournament, with Shinjiro Otani withdrawing from the competition altogether. The Brooklyn native will face Davey Boy Smith Jr. at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City for the first time ever in his career.

With the third-generation star mostly focused on tag team wrestling in MLW, Smith and Low Ki have never had a chance to lock up in a singles match. The wrestling veteran recently fought Brian Pillman Jr. - a Hart Foundation member - at Saturday Night SuperFight, with the 40-year-old getting the victory over the cocky up-and-comer.

While Smith may not have the experience that the former MLW World Heavyweight Champion has, the third-generation star does have a strong skillset when it comes to the technical side of wrestling. Who will walk out victorious in the opening round of the 2019 Opera Cup tournament? Find out on December 5th!

Check out the updated line-up for the Opera Cup event in New York City:
