Will Matt Riddle finally win the big one?
The former WWE star has been tearing it up in MLW since he made his debut in January 2024. Riddle’s stellar year includes a huge win over Jacob Fatu and the 2024 Battle Riot match. The win has given Riddle the opportunity to challenge for the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship, which is currently held by Satoshi Kojima.
The two-time champion has held the belt for over 300 days and successfully defended it against Minoru Suzuki, Tom Lawlor, Ultimo Guerrero, 1 Called Manders, and Bad Dude Tito. Though Kojima has experience on his side as the MLW World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Riddle has fought some of the best names in wrestling throughout his career so far. The 38-year-old is currently in his prime as a pro wrestler; Can Matt Riddle finally capture the big one at MLW’s Kings of Colosseum?
That isn’t the only match confirmed involving a former WWE star.
KENTA isn’t coming to Kings of Colosseum for a title. The former IWGP Never Openweight Champion is coming for revenge. Ever since Dijak made his presence known in MLW, the powerhouse has been assaulting various talents in the MLW locker room. KENTA was one of those men who was violently attacked by the former WWE star and it forced him to be sidelined for the remainder of 2024.
On January 11, 2025, KENTA will get a chance to put Dijak to sleep as the New Japan star will take on Dijak in a special grudge match. These two matches are added to a stacked card that includes a Title vs. Hair match and a Gravity Gamble match involving Mads Krule Krugger and Trevor Lee.
