The NWA Television Championship will make its return to the promotion!

Marty Scurll making his return and Aron Stevens winning the NWA National title weren't the only surprises that took place at Into The Fire, as the return of the legendary belt was confirmed at the pay-per-view.

The prestigious championship has a rich history with the promotion going back to 1969, where future hall of famers such as The Iron Sheik, Jake Roberts, Tully Blanchard, Dusty Rhodes, Arn Anderson, and Terry Funk have previously captured the belt.

Stu Bennett – the former Wade Barrett from the WWE – made the announcement at Into The Fire on Saturday night. Details are scarce on how the challengers will be determined; however, it was confirmed that a new champion would be crowned at the company’s new pay-per-view, which will be held on January 24th. As of this writing, there have been no other details given about the upcoming event.
