Riho Will No Longer Defend The AEW Women's Championship Against Kris Statlander On AEW DYNAMITE

Due to prior commitments, Kris Statlander has been pulled from her title match on AEW Dynamite; however, Riho is still set to defend her Women's Championship on the Homecoming episode. Find out against who.

On January 1st, Kris Statlander is out of contention for the AEW Women’s title; however, Riho has three new challengers to worry about.

AEW announced that due to prior commitments, Kris Statlander won’t be able to compete on the January 1st episode of Dynamite. It's unknown what other engagement the #1 contender has; however, the promotion has ensured that Statlander will face the winner of the AEW Women’s Championship match on January 8th.

Riho will now take on Nyla Rose, who’s returning from her indefinite suspension, Britt Baker, and Hikaru Shida. All women are currently ranked in the #2, #3, and #4 spots respectively. Next week’s episode is a stacked card that has Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin, along with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks vs. PAC and The Lucha Brothers.
