Current ROH World champion Dalton Castle will unfortunately have to miss the War of the Worlds event due to injury.

According to a live report at PWInsider.com, Castle announced during the show in Lowell, MA, that he would be unable to compete in the main event against Matt Taven.

Castle addressed the live crowd and stated that he has been dealing with several different injuries since winning the ROH Title six months ago, and during a recent trip to the doctor’s office he was told his “back is garbage.” He was also told his injuries would get worse if he did not take the time to fix them and admitted that if he cannot be at his best in the ring then he does not belong in the ring.

Castle made it clear that he is not going to drop the title, but is going to take the time he needs to fix his injuries, and get back to “kicking everyone’s ass” in ROH.
