Will former World Television Champion Shane Taylor stay with Ring of Honor going forward?

Since dropping the belt to Dragon Lee at Final Battle, speculation has run rampant on what the future holds for the ROH star. Fueling that speculation was Joey Mercury, who revealed that the promotion didn’t intend to re-sign Shane Taylor to another contract deal in January.

ROH appears to be playing up that situation, as the promotion announced that Taylor will address his future with ROH during the Saturday Night at Center Stage live event in Atlanta on Jan.11.

Back in September, ROH revealed that the 33-year-old had agreed to terms on a buyout of his contract. In storyline, he formed Shane Taylor Promotions, and ROH and STP worked out a deal for Taylor to continue to defend the championship on ROH shows despite his free agent status.

There’s been no official word on Taylor’s contract status with the company, as the Ohio native’s deal reportedly expired on January 1st. While it appears that Taylor may have re-signed with the company, Marty Scurll is also a free agent, though the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion is discussing his future with the promotion.
