STARDOM Announces The 16 Competitors For This Year's 5STAR GRAND PRIX TOURNAMENT

Stardom’s annual 5Star Grand Prix Tournament has been confirmed!

The all-female promotion has officially revealed the 16 participants who will compete in this year’s competition. The 16 participants will be divided into two groups (Red Stars Block and Blue Stars Block) and compete in a round-robin style competition akin to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax.

The tournament will officially start on August 8 and run throughout the month and most of September. The finals will take place at Korakuen Hall on September 19. The tournament originally began in 2012, with the most notable winners being former NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm (2017), NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai (2014), and former Women of Honor World Champion Mayu Iwatani (2018).

Other notable talents that have fought in the tournament are Tessa Blanchard, NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray, Bea Priestley, Kimber Lee, and Viper. Check out the full list of participants who will compete in the 2020 event next month:
