One of the best technical wrestlers in the world will compete in the 2019 Opera Cup tournament.

Ever since making his debut with Major League Wrestling back in July, the former EVOLVE Champion has been aiming to climb the rankings within the roster to get a MLW World Heavyweight title shot. Thatcher has showcased why he’s one of the best wrestlers in the world time and time again in MLW; however, the 36-year-old has yet to secure a major win that would sky rocket him into the title picture.

That’s where the Opera Cup tournament comes in, as Thatcher hopes to win the competition and get one step closer to the MLW World Heavyweight title. Standing in his way first is Dynasty member, Richard Holliday, who’s looking to bounce back from his stinging loss to The Von Erichs at Saturday Night SuperFight.

With both men looking to gain momentum as singles competitors in the 2019 Opera Cup tournament, who will come out on top? We’ll find out at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City on December 5. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.
