Last night on AEW Dynamite, Wardlow finally made his debut for the promotion. The company has been teasing the arrival of the Ohio native since All Out. During the MJF and Chris Jericho segment, the 23-year-old finally explained why he turned his back on Cody Rhodes at Full Gear, citing that the “American Nightmare” didn’t care about him.
Following MJF’s explanation, the New York native and Chris Jericho had a fun back-and-forth exchange on whether MJF would join the Inner Circle or not. Cody Rhodes eventually made his appearance and instantly went on the attack; however, Wardlow would even the odds and beatdown the AEW Executive Vice President with MJF.
Based off the segment, it appears that Wardlow will be MJF’s bodyguard going forward. At the moment, there’s no word on when AEW’s newest talent will make his in-ring debut. Prior to joining AEW, Wardlow has primarily worked the independent scene since making his professional debut in 2014.
