2018 PFL Heavyweight Tournament Champion Philipe Lins is now with the UFC!

It was confirmed by the promotion themselves that the Brazil native signed a multi-fight deal; however, the exact details of his contract weren’t revealed. The 34-year-old will be making his debut at UFC Oklahoma City against Andrei Arlovski.

Lins has been fighting professionally since 2005 and competed in Bellator MMA, Bitetti Combat, and Rockstrike MMA as well. Other than PFL, his most notable stint was under Bellator, where the heavyweight won three out of his six fights.

Lins comes into the fight with some solid momentum as the veteran is currently in the midst of a four-fight winning streak. Those four wins came from the 2018 PFL Heavyweight tournament where Lins defeated Alex Nicholson, Caio Alencar, Jared Rosholt, and Josh Copeland. The Heavyweight’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 3 losses.

Arlovski hopes to gain some momentum after failing to defeat Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 244. Despite being a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, the 41-year-old hasn’t seen much success inside the octagon lately as Arlovski has only won a single fight out of his last five. The Heavyweight’s professional record stands at 28 wins and 19 losses.

UFC Oklahoma City takes place May 2 at Chesapeake Energy Arena with Chris Weidman vs. Jack Hermansson headlining the show.
