Unfortunately, Alex Munoz is forced to pull out his fight against Luis Pena at UFC Fight Night Norfolk due to an undisclosed injury, according to MMA Junkie.

The lightweight fighter was hoping to extend his undefeated record to seven wins, with Munoz coming off an impressive win over Troy Lamson at TRINITY KINGS 8. The 29-year-old would’ve made his UFC debut on February 29.

Pena is expected to still fight as officials are currently searching for a replacement for the lightweight; however, it’s not known who officials have asked to step in to face the 26-year-old. Since his debut in 2018, Pena has won two out of his four bouts, with The Ultimate Fighter alumni coming out on the losing end during his latest bout against Matt Frevola.

UFC Fight Night Norfolk takes place on Saturday, February 29 from the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia with Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo headlining. Felicia Spencer vs. Zarah Fairn dos Santos, and Ion Cuțelaba vs. Magomed Ankalaev will also take place.
