A new strawweight bout is added to the UFC 252 pay-per-view as Felice Herrig will take on Virna Jandiroba.

Herrig will step into the octagon for the first time in nearly two years. Before the strawweight went on hiatus due to a serious injury, Herrig had come off two consecutive losses over Karolina Kowalkiewicz (via split decision at UFC 223) and Michelle Waterson (via unanimous decision at UFC 229). Those losses broke a four-fight winning streak that saw Herrig drop Kailin Curran, Alexa Grasso, Justine Kish, and Cortney Casey. Her professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 8 losses.

Jandiroba was unsuccessful in her debut against Carla Esparza at UFC Fight Night 150; however, the strawweight rebounded with an impressive submission victory over Mallory Martin at UFC on ESPN 7. Jandiroba made a name for herself in Invicta FC, where she’s a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion. She’s also competed in Fight 2 Night, Velame Fight Combat, and Imperium MMA Pro. Jandiroba’s professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 1 loss.

UFC 252 takes place on Saturday, August 15 with Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight title headlining. The placement of the strawweight bout has yet to be determined.
