Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell is done with MMA. Well, at least for now.
The UFC Hall of Famer has had an illustrious career within the octagon; however, his last few fights certainly proved that Liddell had lost the magic that made him such a strong fighter during the early years of his career.
The “Iceman” was on a four-fight losing streak, suffering defeats via TKO against Rashad Evans, Maurício Rua, Rich Franklin, and Tito Ortiz. Liddell hasn’t spoken much about his future following his fight against Ortiz at Golden Boy MMA; however, the 50-year-old confirms with
TMZ Sports that he’s hung up the gloves for now (Transcript courtesy of

I'm officially retired right now ... for now,” Liddell said.
However, Liddell hasn’t ruled out competing in another sport, which is professional wrestling. While it doesn’t appear that Liddell will be signing long term contracts like Ronda Rousey and Cain Velasquez, the former UFC fighter is definitely open to doing a match or two down the line:
“Of course, yeah, I’d still do WWE, I’d still do pro wrestling,” Liddell said.
“That’d be a lot of fun. I’d like that. I don’t think The Rock’s still in it there. He’s always fun to do something with. I’m impressed by the stuff those guys do. They do some crazy stuff.”
Liddell stated during his TMZ interview that he’s willing to do another fight for the right price. However, if his bout against Tito Ortiz was truly his swan song then the Light Heavyweight ends his career with a record of 21 wins and 9 losses.
