Jose Aldo vs. Henry Cejudo is finally official!
The fight has been teased since Aldo’s surprising loss to Marlon Moraes at UFC 245. Many believed that the former UFC Bantamweight Champion had that bout won, including Cejudo himself. The former two-division champ offered to fight Aldo for the bantamweight championship, and the Brazil native didn’t take long to accept the challenge.
Now, The UFC Bantamweight Championship match between Jose Aldo and Henry Cejudo is set to headline UFC 250.
Cejudo is entering the championship bout with a strong five-fight winning streak, having beaten Wilson Reis, Sergio Pettis, Demetrious Johnson, T.J. Dillashaw, and Marlon Moraes. This will be the first Bantamweight title defense for Cejudo. His professional record stands at 15 wins and 2 losses.
Aldo is looking to bounce back after suffering two consecutive losses. The first-ever UFC Featherweight Champion hasn’t won a fight since UFC Fortaleza back in February 2019. This will be Aldo’s first title shot since losing the featherweight championship rematch to Max Holloway at UFC 218. Aldo’s professional record stands at 28 wins and 6 losses.
