Another fighter is forced to withdraw from UFC 248.

Earlier in the week, it was confirmed that former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker had to pull out of his bout against Jared Cannonier and now, Jeremy Stephens is forced to withdraw from his fight against Calvin Katter due to an undisclosed injury.

The 33-year-old was hoping to snap a three-fight losing streak, as Stephens recently lost bouts to Jose Aldo, Yair Rodriguez and Zabit Magomedsharipov. At the moment, there’s no word on how severe his latest injury is; however, the bout will be rescheduled for a later date.

With the fight being rescheduled, it does appear that Kattar will be off the UFC 248 fight card. The featherweight was looking regain some momentum himself, as Kattar is coming off a loss to Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC Moscow. UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time.
