Three more fighters have been released from the UFC.

This past week, Ben Sosoli, Nadia Kassem and Dequan Townsend were relieved of their current UFC contracts. MMA Fighting first reported the news.

The release of Sosoli was no surprise, as the heavyweight was just sentenced to 22 months in jail for an incident that saw him break a man’s jaw outside a bar in Melbourne. The 30-year-old is an alumni of Dana White’s Contender Series, though Sosoli failed to pick up any victory in his short tenure with the company.

Kassem showed a lot of promise following her impressive win over Alex Chambers at UFC Fight Night 121; however, the strawweight dropped two consecutive bouts to Montana De La Rosa and Ji Yeon Kim shortly after. She exits the promotion with 5 wins and 2 losses.

Townsend is the veteran of the three fighters, though he failed to garner a single win during his stint with the promotion. Overall, Townsend was 0-4 in UFC, but has a solid professional record of 21 wins and 12 losses.

At the moment, there’s no word on what the future lies for Kassem and Townsend. Sosoli must serve at least 11 months before he is eligible to apply for parole.
