The 36-year-old is coming off a devastating knockout loss against Conor McGregor at UFC 246. Prior to his bout against the former UFC Lightweight Champion, Cerrone was in the midst of a two-fight losing streak as he suffered defeat at the hands of Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje.

The Colorado native has come back from a three-fight losing streak before, as Cerrone lost to Jorge Masvidal, Robbie Lawler, and Darren Till before getting back on track by defeating Yancy Medeiros at UFC Fight Night Austin.

At the moment, there’s no word on who could fight the “Cowboy” next. It’s possible that the welterweight will head back down to lightweight for his next fight. Cerrone recently had success while fighting in the 145-pound division, as he got an impressive victory over Al Iaquinta and Alexander Hernandez. Cerrone’s professional record currently stands at 36 wins and 14 losses.
