Ramazan Emeev no longer has an opponent for UFC Moscow at the moment. The former M-1 Global middleweight champion was scheduled to face Claudio Silva in a welterweight bout Sept. 15 in Russia, but Silva was forced off the card with a lower back injury, sources told MMA Fighting.

While Silva won’t be able to fight in September, sources claim that he won’t need surgery and that the Russian is aiming for a return in December.

There’s no word on whether the UFC is looking for a replacement opponent for Emeev. The welterweight is on a hot streak, winning his last six fights, and is 2-0 under the UFC banner with decision victories over Sam Alvey and Alberto Mina. UFC Moscow takes place at the Olimpiyskiy Arena and features Mark Hunt vs. Alexey Oleynik in the main event.
