It’s been a whirlwind week for 2018 Mae Young Classic competitor Nicole Matthews, who is now banned from entering the United States for five years due to the fact that she’s been working in the US without a suitable visa. Matthews is a Canadian resident.

Matthews made it to the second round of the Mae Young Classic, but was defeated by Tegan Nox. Clearly, the US has a strict VISA policy, as this situation is extremely similar to pro-wrestler Mike Bailey, who is also banned from entering the United States for five years due working on a travel visa instead of a work visa back in 2016.

Matthews took to Twitter to briefly comment on the situation. Here’s what she had to say:

“Timing, eh? I’ll be fine, everyone. That’s all I’m going to say about the elephant in the room.”
