Damien Priest became the latest black and gold brand Superstar to qualify for the upcoming TakeOver: XXX North American Championship Ladder Match this week on NXT.

The Archer of Infamy faced off against Oney Lorcan and the debuting Ridge Holland (impressive) in a very exciting triple-threat bout. All three men let loose with a barrage of stiff shots and power moves, but in the end Priest was able to incapacitate Holland long enough to hit The Reckoning on Lorcan and pick up the pinfall victory.

Priest now joins Bronson Reed in the ladder match, but it's been confirmed that Dexter Lumis has been forced to withdraw after suffering an ankle injury during his triple-threat encounter last Wednesday. William Regal announced that the final two competitors would be chosen via a series of singles matches involving the triple-threat match participants who weren't pinned or submitted to lose their respective bouts.

Confused? Yeah, this seems needlessly complicated, but we'll elaborate in a later post.
