Fans Turn On Johnny Gargano At NXT TV Tapings; Dub Him "Johnny Failure" - SPOILERS

Well, this is unexpected. Following Johnny Gargano's loss at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn this past weekend, his return to television did not receive a warm response from wrestling fans as the crowd turned on him...

Despite once being one of NXT's most popular Superstars, it appears as if fans have lost patience with Johnny Gargano, a.k.a. Johnny Wrestling. During last night's NXT TV tapings, he came out to the ring on a crutch to address his loss to Tomasso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, saying he had let them down by once again falling short and had come to the realisation that he'd lost himself.

After saying that he had turned into Ciampa, William Regal came out and asked if Gargano was responsible for attacking Aleister Black. Before he could get an answer, Velveteen Dream appeared and said he's sick of hearing Gargano's whining and it was then that the crowd turned on him, chanting "Johnny Failure," something it's fair to say none of us probably expected to hear chanted at him!

Later on (in a match which will be aired the week after that promo), Gargano ended up losing to Dream and once again received chants of "Johnny Failure" and "Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye." How this will be dealt with moving forward remains to be seen but it will be interesting seeing how NXT handles this and whether or not we should expect him to ultimately choose to turn heel.
