It Sounds Like WWE Is Planning To Expand The NXT Brand Internationally

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE and Triple H are currently looking at ways to expand talent on the NXT brand. This comes as a result of those huge new TV deals for RAW and SmackDown Live and, as the saying goes, you've got to spend money to make money! As a result, WWE is looking to take the developmental brand overseas.

This would reportedly include international Performance Centers and territories and it's easy to imagine something like WWE UK becoming NXT UK and acting as its own "independent" brand in the UK.

It should also lead to WWE becoming more aggressive in signing up talent as they'll have more places to put them and we could end up seeing different versions of NXT across the globe! It's still very early days, of course, but this looks set to be a huge move on WWE's part and NXT is clearly going to be more important than any of us ever imagined. Be sure to stay tuned for updates as we have them.
