Lio Rush is the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion after defeating Drew Gulak on this week's episode of NXT on the USA Network.
The Philadelphia Stretcher looked like he had the match in the bag several times, but the ever resilient Man of the Hour managed to evade his submission attempts and was ultimately able to hit a pair of frog splashes for the pinfall victory.
After, Gulak looked like he was going to attack his opponent, but instead he extended his hand for a show of respect. Between that and the post-match interview, it looks like Drew has now turned face. Let's hope he's utilized in the black and gold brand on a more regular basis.
